According to Butch Tilley of York Insurance Services, most homeowner's policies will cover the damage caused by a burst pipe. "If you have to do mold removal as a result of the leak, you are probably covered for that, too," says Tilley. "But there are normally limits on the coverage for certain types of personal belongings."
